Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation Accepting Applications for Grants
The Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation is now accepting applications from qualified non-profits to receive their 2023 grant awards. Smith and Associates' community giving program is designed to build strong partnerships with non-profit organizations, civic organizations, and other local organizations striving to make a difference. The non-profits should focus on the three identified pillars of need: Housing, Community Vibrancy, and Positive Education/Mental Well-Being. For each element, funding priority is given to at-risk, vulnerable, and special-needs populations.
To apply for a grant from the Smith & Associates Real Estate Foundation, the organization must:
- be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code
- be based in or serving Hillsborough and/or Pinellas counties
- exhibit strong management and sound leadership
- file an IRS form 990 from 2018 or later
Smith has a 54-year legacy of giving back to the communities served by focusing on three elements: Volunteerism, Sponsorships, and Foundation Grants. Through its giving program, the company has donated $1.5M to community organizations, served the community with over 30,000 volunteer hours, and awarded over $240,000 in grant funding since the Foundation launch in the Spring of 2021.
