From beach cleanups to fundraising concerts and many opportunities in-between, there are numerous initiatives around town to choose from to support our neighbors and friends who may have been affected by the recent storm damage. Here are some ways you can get involved!

Fare-free PSTA routes: Now until October 27
To help all citizens more easily navigate debris and get from place to place, all PSTA bus routes are free until Sunday, October 27. This includes all fixed routes, and is useful for those without vehicles or those trying to conserve gas.

Feeding Tampa Bay: Ongoing Efforts
Feeding Tampa Bay has set up food and supply distribution centers throughout five Tampa Bay counties, and now they need community support to continue their important efforts. They are accepting food donations and monetary giving, and they also have ongoing
volunteer opportunities throughout the area.

“Gulfport Rising” Hurricane Benefit Show: Saturday, October 19, 12-10 pm
The Village Courtyard in Gulfport is hosting an all-day benefit concert specifically to raise funds for recovery in Gulfport. Including The North End Taphouse and Low Tide Kava Bar, the mini festival will include great musical acts, raffles and more.

Sunset Beach Cleanup: Saturday, November 2, 9-11 am
Keep Pinellas Beautiful is organizing a cleanup of Sunset Beach, and participants are encouraged to dress in boots and bring gloves, as well as to bring any gear they can.

Arts Annual Hurricane Relief Fundraiser: Saturday, November 9, 6 pm
Hosted by Creative Pinellas, Arts Annual is always one of the year’s best and biggest events in the Pinellas County arts scene. In light of recent storms, this year’s event has been turned into a fundraiser for local hurricane relief.

As community leaders respond to the needs of those affected, Salvation Army has stepped up in a big way. They have five distribution centers set up throughout the Tampa area offering water canteens, lunch and dinner to those in need.

USF Emergency Response Volunteering: Ongoing Efforts
The USF Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is actively supporting the community in multiple locations. They have need of volunteers in four Tampa area support stations that are providing affected community members with goods and services.
