Paula Burgen is a lifelong resident and third-generation native of South Tampa with a lifelong interest in real estate, garnered from her father who designed and built many homes and apartment/condo complexes in the area. Paula started her career in real estate in 1983, under the tutelage of Mary Smith herself, with Smith & Associates being her first and only real estate home! Her knowledge of South Tampa has made her a natural for clients seeking to find “just the right spot” and perfect home for themselves and their families in one of our fine neighborhoods, and has continued to serve the now grown-up generations of those families as well!
Paula also enjoys a dual career as a renovation coordinator and interior design consultant, having worked with many builders overseeing custom home projects, as well as the propping and staging of many model homes for their architectural photography – some of which projects have graced the covers of Florida Architecture and Architectural Digest over the years. These attributes help her to guide her clients in seeing the vision of themselves in their future home!
Hobbies and interests include travel, outdoor activities and anywhere there is a beach – particularly close to home Boca Grande and Little Gasparilla Island, where her family spent considerable time during her childhood. She can still be found walking the beaches of BG anytime she can steal away! Paula resides in South Tampa, currently renovating her own townhome in the Ballast Point area.
