Before Smith and Associates, Dan spent 6 years with The Keyes Company in Miami in luxury real estate sales in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Miami Beach with a mix of clients from the United States, Latin America and Asia/Pacific as well as Europe and Canada. Many of his contacts were built on relationships established over his 30+ years working in CMO and COO roles for Fortune 500 companies including American Express, Doyle Dane Bernbach, Mastercard, Pfizer and Black Sheep (his own marketing agency) on 4 continents.
Dan was born in Canada and is a UCLA graduate with a Thunderbird International MBA. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English. Extracurriculars include: Coconut Grove Village Council Member, Adjunct Professor at University of Miami, Founder of Versailles Breakfast Club, Board Member of International Executive Resources Group and 8 years as a youth baseball coach. He is married and has 4 children and one small but bossy dog.
