Old Northeast is a residential neighborhood that lies between 4th St. N., and Tampa Bay, and on the border of Downtown St. Pete. The neighborhood's location makes it a great choice for those who want to be close to the excitement of Downtown St. Petersburg, but want to come home to something quieter. Well known for its historic character and park-like atmosphere, Old Northeast offers brick streets shaded by large oaks, jacarandas, pines, palms, maples, and magnolias. The streets are lined with granite curbs and mix of concrete and hexagon block sidewalks. Additionally, Old Northeast benefits from St. Pete's incredible waterfront park system.

Many of Old Northeast's homes were built during the Florida Land Boom. You will find Mediterranean, Colonial Revival, Vernacular, Prairie, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, Colonial Revival and Craftsman Bungalow houses. The neighborhood is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, and the community is keen on ensuring that any new buildings complement the older ones.
