Historic Old Northeast

The Historic Old Northeast is a leafy residential area with brick streets and waterfront green spaces, including the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum and expansive Vinoy Park. Dating from the early 1900s, the Sunken Gardens feature tropical plants and flamingos, and the nearby Great Explorations Children's Museum has creative, play-based exhibits. Cafes, casual chain restaurants, and taco spots line 4th Street North.

Old Northeast is a residential neighborhood that lies between 4th St. N., and Tampa Bay, and on the border of Downtown St. Pete. The neighborhood's location makes it a great choice for those who want to be close to the excitement of Downtown St. Petersburg, but want to come home to something quieter. Well known for its historic character and park-like atmosphere, Old Northeast offers brick streets shaded by large oaks, jacarandas, pines, palms, maples, and magnolias. The streets are lined with granite curbs and mix of concrete and hexagon block sidewalks. Additionally, Old Northeast benefits from St. Pete's incredible waterfront park system.
