While some businesses are experiencing a lull due to the pandemic, Tampa Bay real estate developers are moving swiftly on construction at their luxury condominium sites across Tampa Bay. Developers have been eager to move forward with these much-anticipated projects and have hit various project milestones, with many completing the detailed permitting process, others moving into the stage of beginning foundation work, and some of these condo towers can already be seen transforming our skyline.
Water Street Tampa Construction Progress
Water Street Tampa is transforming Tampa’s downtown to an urban corridor designed with care and purpose. Dynamic workspaces, inspired living options and an enriching cityscape with plenty of green space to enjoy, will be the trademarks of this neighborhood that is rising in downtown Tampa. The project has started construction on Phase 1 of their WELL-certified neighborhood and broke ground on The Residences at The Tampa EDITION in late 2019. With construction moving swiftly, they have surpassed construction on the 10th floor. These iconic residences designed by Ian Schrager represent the start of wellness-based living in Water Street and will have easy access to new restaurants and retail. The hotel will be Tampa’s first Five-Star hotel.
Saltaire St. Petersburg Construction Progress
Downtown St. Petersburg is constantly evolving and has recently made headlines with the opening of its newest attraction, the St. Pete Pier. The newly transformed pier district sits on 26 acres along the peaceful blue waters of Tampa Bay creating the ultimate destination to enjoy a walk in the park, relax in an Adirondack chair on Spa Beach, bike along the trail, drink a frozen daiquiri on the rooftop bar, and take in the magnificent public art structures. The pier looks back at the downtown buildings and waterfront parks with Saltaire’s opulent amenity deck creating a picturesque view of the harbor.
South Tampa Construction Progress
Those who frequent Bayshore Boulevard have seen the non-stop progress occurring at The Sanctuary at Alexandra Place. The newly installed curved glass facade mirrors the striking sunset views over the bay. We had the rare opportunity to interview the developer Brian Taub from the remaining 6th-floor residence and learn more about his experience in luxury condo development and why he thinks The Sanctuary location is so unique.
While the Sanctuary nears completion, further down Bayshore Boulevard in the Hyde Park Village Historic District, Hyde Park House is beginning to leave its mark. Foundation work will define this boutique tower’s location in the highly desirable Hyde Park tree-lined neighborhood and historic village shopping district.
Site work has commenced at Marina Pointe Tampa and it is becoming easier to envision the Marina District and its walkable waterfront community. The deep foundation work has begun and utilities have been connected to the site where the tower will begin to form vertically.
